Boyarskaya and Chernevich received the Golden Mask

MOSCOW, June 24Actors Elizaveta Boyarskaya and Igor Chernevich became the best acting duo of the Golden Mask theater award for their roles in the play “The Seagull” by Lev Dodin at the Maly Drama Theater-Theater of Europe, the correspondent reports.
The award ceremony takes place on Monday on the historical stage of the Evgeni Vakhtangov State Academic Theater in Moscow.

We have already been through so much together. It is so unexpected that we are receiving this «Golden Mask» together. And, of course, many thanks to our audience,» Boyarskaya said, receiving the «Golden Mask».

Choreographer, theater director, jury member Alla Sigalova awarded composer Arthur Baido for creating music for the play «The Eagle and the Raven» of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater.
Rector of GITIS, jury member Grigory Zaslavsky presented a special prize to the creators of the play “The Adventures of Rustem” of the Tatar Theater for Young Spectators named after Kariev.

“The special award corrects the injustice of other nominations. Therefore, the special jury award “Drama Theater and Puppet Theater” is awarded for involvement in the fate of the country and the search for a national hero to the play “The Adventures of Rustem” of the Tatar Theater for Young Spectators named after Kariev,” he said.

Theater director and jury member Sergei Zhenovach awarded the special prize “For the Ensemble of the Performance” to the production of “Kalechina Malechina” by the Theater of Young Spectators of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Nyagan).
In addition, actor and director, jury member Vyacheslav Starodubtsev presented a special award to Boris Rudak “For a vivid interpretation of the role of Riccardo” in the play “Ball in Masquerade” at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater. P.I. Tchaikovsky.
«Golden Mask» is a professional award that was established in 1993 by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation. The festival is held annually in Moscow and presents the best performances of the season in all types of theatrical art (drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta/musical, puppet theater).
