Hongqi HS3 crossover enters the Russian market: configurations and prices

The new SUV is offered with two engines, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The model turned out to have quite rich configurations.

A presentation of the Hongqi HS3 crossover took place in Moscow, during which sales were launched. We’ll share our first impressions of the most affordable SUV of the premium brand (the brand belongs to the FAW concern) a little later, and in this post we’ll talk about the trim levels and prices.

Let us remember that the SUV debuted in China last year, and there it is positioned as a second-generation model: its predecessor was an electric car and bore the E-HS3 index; that crossover was removed from sales due to modest demand. The “second” HS3 does not have a purely electric version. The length of the new five-seater cross is 4655 mm, width – 1900 mm, height – 1668 mm, wheelbase – 2770 mm. Thus, in terms of its dimensions, the model is comparable to the Infiniti QX50.

In Russia, Hongqi HS3 is available in two versions. Under the hood of the Comfort version there is a 1.5 petrol turbo-four, which produces 156 hp on our crossover. and 252 Nm. This SUV has a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches and front-wheel drive. Hongqi HS3 Deluxe is equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine producing 245 hp. (380 Nm) and a classic eight-speed automatic, this option is all-wheel drive by default. It is stated that the crossover with the 1.5T will reach the first “hundred” in 9.9 seconds, with the 2.0T in 6.7 seconds.

The list of standard equipment includes: LED optics, panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, atmospheric interior lighting, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, multimedia system, keyless entry, start-stop system, light and rain sensors, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto braking systems, lane marking monitoring and blind spot monitoring. HS3 Deluxe — these are 20-inch wheels instead of 19-inch ones in the Comfort version, ventilated front seats, a contactless trunk opening function, a parking assistant, a heated steering wheel, an air ionizer.
