MOSCOW, June 28 Head coach of the Kazakhstan national football team Stanislav Cherchesov was dissatisfied with a question in Kazakh from one of the journalists at a press conference, Tengri Sport reports.
On Wednesday, the specialist held a press conference on the occasion of his appointment to the post of head coach of the Kazakhstan national team. One of the journalists asked a question in Kazakh, which was translated for Cherchesov by the President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation, Adilet Barmenkulov. Then the media representative again asked a question in Kazakh, with which the coach was dissatisfied.
— I'm sorry, where are you from? — asked Cherchesov.
“I’m from Kazakhstan,” the journalist answered.
— Why are you addressing me like that? Can I answer you in Ossetian?
— Come on, answer.
“But no one will understand,” the Russian specialist summed up.
Cherchesov led the Russian national team from 2016 to 2021. Under his leadership, the team reached the quarter finals of the 2018 home World Cup, and at Euro 2020 they took last place in the group with the teams of Belgium, Denmark and Finland. The specialist's last place of work was the Hungarian Ferencvaros. Cherchesov also headed Moscow Spartak, Dynamo, Sochi Zhemchuzhina, Grozny Terek (now Akhmat), Perm Amkar, Austrian Kufstein, Wacker and Polish Legia.
