    Buchnevich extended his contract with St. Louis until 2031

    MOSCOW, July 2 Russian forward Pavel Buchnevich extended his contract with “St. Louis Blues,” according to the website of the National Hockey League (NHL) club.
    The 29-year-old forward’s current agreement runs until the end of the 2025/26 season. Under the new contract, he will represent the team until the end of the 2030-31 season, receiving an average of $8 million per year.
    Last season, the Russian played 80 matches for St. Louis and scored 63 points (27 goals and 36 assists). This season was his third for the team.

    Before that, he played for the New York Rangers in 2016. The New York club selected Buchnevich 75th overall in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In total, in the NHL regular championships he scored 401 points (162+239) in 517 games. In Russia, Buchnevich represented Cherepovets Severstal and St. Petersburg SKA.
