MOSCOW, July 3 American forward LeBron James agreed to return to National Basketball Association (NBA) club Los Angeles Lakers and sign a contract for two seasons, ESPN reports.
James' agreement will be worth $104 million. The deal provides for the right for the basketball player not to renew his contract for the 2025/26 season and a no-trade clause.
Earlier it became known that James exercised the right not to renew his previous contract with the Lakers, according to which he could earn $51.4 million for the 2024/25 season.
James, 39 years old, has represented the Lakers since 2018, is a four-time NBA champion, two-time Olympic champion, four-time regular season and playoff MVP, record holder number of NBA All-Star appearances (20).
