    MOSCOW, July 2 General Director of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov approved the deployment schedule of the Russian orbital station, contracts were also signed for its construction and the creation of ships for flights to the station on rocket “Angara” from the Vostochny cosmodrome, the press service of the state corporation told reporters on Tuesday.
    “Today, July 2, the head of the Roscosmos State Corporation Yuri Borisov approved the general schedule for the creation of the Russian orbital station. The document was also signed by 19 general directors of the main cooperation enterprises,” the message says.

    It is noted that the schedule includes work on the design and manufacture of station modules, as well as ensuring flight tests of a new generation manned transport ship, the creation of rockets and ground infrastructure, and the work of scientific institutes in the industry to support the project.
    “”Also today, government contracts were signed to carry out development work on the creation of the ROS space complex and a space complex with a manned transport ship and a heavy-duty Angara launch vehicle at the Vostochny cosmodrome,” the press added. service
    It is noted that the deployment of the station will begin with the launch of the scientific and energy module in 2027. It, together with three more modules – the universal node module (UUM), the gateway module (SHM) and the base module (BM), which will be launched before 2030, will form the core of the station. At the second stage, in the period from 2031 to 2033, it is planned to expand the station by connecting two target modules (CM1 and CM2).

    In addition, as reported in Roscosmos, on March 20, 2024, Denis Manturov, who at that time held the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, approved the passport of the federal project “Creation of the space complex of the Russian orbital station” with a total planned amount of financing of 608.9 billion rubles.
    As Roscosmos believes, the creation of the ROS will ensure the continuous continuation of the Russian manned program after the termination of participation in the ISS project, and solve problems of scientific and technological development, the national economy and national security that are not available on the ISS. In addition, ROS will be used as a platform for testing space technologies and will increase the competitiveness of domestic manned space systems.
