MOSCOW, July 6 Russian forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets Kirill Marchenko applied to the arbitration of the National Hockey League (NHL) regarding the salary offered to him, according to the league’s website.
Arbitration hearings on wages will be held from July 20 to August 4. Any player who goes to arbitration may sign a contract with his current team until the hearing. Marchenko is a restricted free agent. In total, 14 hockey players applied to arbitration.
Last season, Marchenko took part in 78 regular season matches, in which he scored 42 points (23 goals and 19 assists). The Russian was selected by Columbus in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
