The new Zeekr crossover from Geely appeared in the photo

The design of the SUV will be in the style of the recently debuted Zeekr 007 sedan. It is possible that the SUV will share technology with the four-door.

Chinese specialized media, including the publication Autohome, circulated pictures of the new electric crossover of the Zeekr brand. This is still a test prototype in bright camouflage. The name has not yet been announced: the five-door is known to local media under the internal factory index CX1E. Let us remind you that the Zeekr brand was created by Geely in 2021 specifically for expensive electric trains. And the illuminated SUV will become the sixth model in the range: it will join the Zeekr 001 liftback, the Zeekr X junior crossover, the Zeekr 007 sedan and the Zeekr 009 and Zeekr Mix vans.

The new crossover will have an appearance in the style of the “Seven”, which entered the market at the end of last year. In particular, the yet unnamed SUV will receive headlights of a similar shape (a diode display will probably be placed above them), the same exterior mirror housings and rear lights in the form of a single narrow strip. In addition, the crossover will have a lidar.

The interior was previously shown in real spy photos: Inside, the SUV as a whole will also repeat the Zeekr 007; separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system will be installed in the cabin. Although the crossover will have its own steering wheel — a three-spoke one (the sedan has a two-spoke steering wheel).

The brand has not yet spoken about the “filling”. The Chinese write that, like the four-door, the new SUV has an 800-volt electrical system. It is possible that the SUV will also share technology with the sedan. Zeekr 007 is currently available in two versions. The base one has one electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 422 hp. Expensive versions — with dual-engine all-wheel drive, total output is 646 hp. The electric sedan is equipped with batteries with a capacity of 75 and 100 kWh, range — from 616 to 870 km on the CLTC cycle (depending on the version).

The new Zeekr crossover is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year , but the model may premiere earlier.
