The concept of the extreme version was given the name BST: the letters were borrowed from the Polestar 2 BST liftback with sporty chassis settings.
The Swedish brand Polestar separated from its parent Volvo back in 2017 (both brands belong to the Chinese holding Geely). Last fall, the manufacturer showed several new products, including a prototype of the future open-top model — Polestar 6. The start of production, as well as the entry of the coupe-convertible onto the market, is scheduled for 2026.

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed (UK), which opened its doors today, the Swedish brand brought the harbinger of a track version future coupe-convertible – we are talking about the BST concept, which borrowed these letters from the Polestar 2 BST liftback. Let us remember that the “charged” version of the five-door with sporty chassis settings was presented in June 2022, and it was based on the Experimental Polestar 2 show car, also shown at Goodwood, but in 2021.
The Polestar 6 BST concept received head optics and lights designed in the brand's corporate style (like the Polestar O2 introduced in March 2022), as well as an aerodynamic body kit that includes a split splitter, side skirts, a large wing and a diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper There are additional ventilation holes on the hood. The “hot” show car was equipped with forged wheels with a diameter of 22 inches.
There is no information yet about whether the production version, based on the Polestar 6 BST concept, will end up in production (at least in small-scale production). Note that the company plans to release the Polestar 6 coupe-cabriolet in the first year with a circulation of 500 copies. Initially, it was assumed that the manufacturer would limit itself to this number, but there were significantly more people willing to buy a model of the “star” brand, so now there is no upper limit. However, those who did not manage to place an order earlier will have to wait.
The Polestar 6 will be based on the PPA (Polestar Performance Architecture) platform, which is one of the variants of the SEA “trolley” developed by Geely. As the company said earlier, the “six” will have all-wheel drive (that is, electric motors on both axles), while the maximum output of the installation will be 884 hp and torque – 900 Nm.

Note that the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the capacity of the traction battery, but said that the range without recharging can be about 600 km (when calculated using the WLTP cycle).
Meanwhile, the Swedes recently refreshed the Polestar 2: During the update, the cross-liftback's range was increased without recharging and the design was refreshed. This option has already gone on sale in Europe and Canada, and the model will be released in other markets later this year.
