The development was presented at the III International Scientific and Practical Seminar «Digitalization of Society»
I recently presented a revolutionary methodology for managing the safety of complex industries at the III International Scientific and Practical Seminar «Digitalization of Society: Modern state and prospects» at the Moscow Polytechnic University, a young scientist.
The speaker, a doctoral student at a Russian university and a member of the SVO, whose name was not disclosed, emphasized that traditional approaches to security outdated. “You can’t look at risks in isolation,” he noted. – Modern systems are interconnected, a failure in one part can lead to a disaster as a whole.”
The solution, according to the scientist, is to create digital twins of security systems in various industries. By simulating billions of risk scenarios, it will be possible to identify hidden vulnerabilities and prevent accidents before they occur.
Imagine a modernized hosiery factory: the latest machines, an automated control system. But what happens, for example, if the temperature sensor fails? Overheating, disruption of the technical process, in the worst case – fire. But there is also a human factor: employees who are accustomed to old algorithms may make a mistake in the new system.
The scientist notes that in a virtual environment it is possible to simulate the operation of the entire line, taking into account all the components, materials, and actions of personnel. A series of virtual experiments, including emergency situations, will help identify weaknesses and risks: for example, dangerous location of equipment near flammable materials or insufficient training of workers.
The new method can be used to ensure the safety of individual production facilities, urban infrastructure, and critical systems.
