“Rotor” beat “Shinnik” on the road, “Ural” defeated “Sochi” in the First League

MOSCOW, July 14 Ekaterinburg «Ural» beat at home » Sochi» in the match of the first round of the football First League championship of the 2024/25 season.
The meeting, held in Yekaterinburg on Sunday, ended with a score of 2:0. The goals were scored by Alexey Kashtanov (49th minute) and Timur Ayupov (58th minute).

Both teams left the Russian Premier League (RPL) at the end of the last season. “Sochi” took the last, 16th place and was relegated directly, and “Ural” lost its place in the elite division following the results of the play-offs against Tolyatti “Akron”.

Volgograd «Rotor» celebrated its return to the First League with an away victory over Yaroslavl «Shinnik» with a score of 1:0. The only goal was scored in the 14th minute by Dmitry Prishchepa.
