The British company explained that the XE, XF, F-Type, E-Pace and I-Pace are “low cost” and now they practically do not bring money to the manufacturer.
Back in 2021, JLR announced plans to completely reformat Jaguar: according to the current strategy, already in 2025 the British brand should move from the premium to the luxury segment, and a complete transition to electric vehicles is also planned for this period. Initially, it was assumed that the current line of models still had a few years left, but now it is reported that their retirement date has approached.
As Automotive News Europe reports, citing a JLR representative, by the end of this year the Jaguar brand will get rid of five models at once — XE, XF, F-Type, E-Pace and I-Pace. They will be discontinued, after which dealers will sell off the remaining cars for some time.
By the way, Jaguar initially stated that the electric crossover would “live longer” and would continue to be present in the model line along with new electric vehicles. However, the manufacturer later changed its plans, announcing that the I-Pace would retire along with cars equipped with internal combustion engines.

The company explained why they decided to complete production of the brand's current models earlier than originally planned. According to Jaguar CEO Adrian Mardell, the six models listed «bring virtually no money to the company.» He added that their profitability is “close to zero” and called the machines themselves “low-cost products.” In a conversation with investors, the head of the company said that “we have not made any money on any of these models.” » />
Let us remind you that the manufacturer offered to say goodbye to the Jaguar F-Type last fall. Then a farewell version of the sports car was presented, which was given the name ZP Edition; it was decided to limit the total circulation of coupes and roadsters to only 150 copies. Now it has become known that the final two-door has already rolled off the assembly line, so the F-Type with an internal combustion engine has officially retired. By the way, the manufacturer planned to say goodbye in June to the XE and XF, which also rolled off the assembly line at the Castle Bromwich plant in the suburbs of Birmingham.

For some time, the Jaguar F-Pace will remain the only model of the brand, but its days are also numbered: in May of this year the company presented a couple of farewell special versions — they received 90th Anniversary increases Edition and SVR 575 Edition to the name, as well as a number of decorative differences in the exterior and interior. The “filling” of these versions is standard.
Now the British manufacturer continues to develop one of the upcoming new: we are talking about a large luxury flagship sedan that will have nothing in common with any of the past Jaguar models. The Cadillac Celestiq is tipped as a potential competitor to this as-yet unnamed model.
