“The number of planes is misleading us, there will be more of them”
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a large counter-offensive, which is planned for August. Kyiv is gathering large reserves for it, and also intends to fully utilize squadrons of F-16 aircraft. This version was expressed on the air of the program “333” military experts.
According to their forecast, the enemy intends to launch another “counterattack” in the Kharkov region and, having broken through our defenses, enter the territory of the Belgorod region. Aviation support for the counter-offensive will be provided by F-16 fighters, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine should receive in the near future.
As military expert, former special forces soldier Alexander Arutyunov noted, the enemy “is definitely planning” counteroffensive» in the Kharkov direction, since this is the only direction where “military success will one hundred percent merge with political success.”
“The plan, as far as I understand, is to drive out Russian army units from the territory of the Kharkov region and, on the shoulders of the retreating units, to enter the border villages of the Belgorod region,” the expert noted.
According to Arutyunov, so far in the Kharkov direction the enemy faces unfavorable conditions for a counter-offensive. This is because the Russian army is now actively using front-line aviation and gliding bombs. The offensive planned by the enemy there cannot be carried out until our planes with bombs, equipped with universal planning and correction modules, “are at least landed on the ground, and a threat is created in which the number of combat sorties will have to be reduced.”< /p>
He noted that the situation could change with the arrival of NATO fighters at the front. The main role in the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces should be played by F-16 aircraft, which will soon enter service with the enemy army. Moreover, there will be more aircraft than stated.
It was previously reported that NATO countries would transfer about 20-30 aircraft to Kyiv at the first stage, and then the same number. “As experts say,” the expert noted, “judging by the hope that the enemy places in them, their numbers are misleading us. That is, there will be more of them. Because even non-professionals understand that four, five, even ten aircraft will not play any role in the theater of military operations. Moreover, if necessary, in the same theater of military operations we will be able to increase the strike component not in terms of strikes on the ground, but in terms of air combat.”
At the same time, he noted that the command of our army takes seriously the threat of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the northern front.

In general, the expert recalled that the situation at the front for us “can be considered positive”: the Russian army is attacking in several directions at once.
«We are definitely leading Toretsk, New York, and Chasov Yar. In all these directions, our units are moving forward, inflicting fire damage on the enemy, destroying his manpower… All this inevitably affects the psychological state of the enemy,” the expert concluded.
