According to preliminary data, the new compact SUV will be available with a one and a half liter turbo engine. The presentation will be held next week.
In the spring of this year, the Russian division of Jetour (the brand belongs to Chery) announced several new products for our market. Now the company has decided on the date and place of the premiere of one of the models: the compact crossover Jetour X50 will be demonstrated at the Chinese Motor Show 2024, an exhibition of Chinese cars, which will be held in Moscow on July 27-28. This SUV should be the most affordable in the Jetour range; it is planned to go on sale before the end of the third quarter.

Today's press release comes alongside a teaser of the Jetour X50, although we've already seen the crossover on a presentation slide. The five-door is made on the basis of the Soueast DX5 model (the Soueast company is now also owned by Chery). According to preliminary data, the length of the Jetour X50 SUV intended for the Russian Federation is 4397 mm, width – 1841 mm, height – 1654 mm, distance between the axles – 2601 mm. Thus, in terms of its dimensions, the cross is close to Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Belgee X50 and GAC GS3.
The Russian Jetour X50 is promised combined dashboard and multimedia screens, wireless charging for a smartphone, and a blind spot monitoring system. In addition, the company announced that the model will be adapted for our market: in particular, it will have a galvanized body, a package of warm options and an increased volume of the windshield washer reservoir.
It is expected that the X50 will be offered with a gasoline turbo engine 1.5 (no information on power yet) and a six-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Most likely, it will only be front-wheel drive.
All characteristics of the Jetour X50 crossover for the Russian market will become known closer to the start date of sales. It should be noted that the title of the most affordable model of the brand in the Russian Federation now belongs to the Dashing SUV, its price starts at 2,489,900 rubles (excluding shares).
