The frame SUV of the American brand underwent an update in the middle of its life cycle. Serial production of the new product will start at the end of this year.
The Cadillac brand has been producing its full-size SUV since 1998 (initially it was a slightly modified version of the GMC Yukon Denali), and since then the Escalade has changed generations four times. The current fifth generation was presented in 2020, and now the model has undergone a planned restyling. Let us note that today this car is doing quite well in the United States: last year it sold 41,689 copies, which is 3.6% more than in 2022.

Now Cadillac has updated its frame SUV, the new product has been assigned the 2025 model year. The refreshed Escalade has noticeably changed its appearance: the exterior is designed in accordance with the style of the completely “green” version with the addition of IQ to the name, which debuted in August last year. Thus, the large all-terrain vehicle received horizontally elongated running lights of a very narrow shape and new vertical main headlight units.
< p>The color palette has been expanded with three new options – Aegean Stone, Deep Sea Metallic and Latte Metallic. The updated SUV also has a different design of the large radiator grille (its design varies depending on the version) and a large air intake integrated into the lower part of the front bumper. The model is still equipped with traditional exterior mirrors and regular door handles.

The stern was corrected due to a different design of the lights, which moved slightly below the logo, as well as a different design for the lower part of the rear bumper with four exhaust pipes. Standard for the model are 22-inch wheels of the original design, and new 24-inch “rollers” are available for an additional fee. By the way, these are the largest wheels ever offered for the Cadillac Escalade.

The new product will be offered with electric door opening and closing. In this case, the driver's door can be programmed so that it automatically opens when approaching (sensors will prevent a collision with nearby obstacles). For the door to close itself, the driver only needs to press the brake pedal.
As part of the update, the Escalade received a richer interior, which also echoes the all-electric IQ variant. On the front panel there is a curved screen with a diagonal of 55 inches. It combines a large 35-inch driver's display, as well as a touchscreen designed for the front passenger (20-inch diagonal). A separate touch screen located below is provided to control a number of vehicle functions. The SUV was also equipped with a new steering wheel and a different gear selector.
The SUV now has a new Executive trim level, which focuses on increased comfort for second-row passengers. In particular, they are provided with a center console with a separate control center for vehicle functions, a pair of niches for wireless charging of smartphones and retractable tables. The list of equipment also includes two 12.6-inch displays, and the seats are equipped with massagers and speakers that are integrated into the headrests.
Under the hood of the restyled Cadillac Escalade there are 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engines. The standard SUV has output of 426 hp and maximum torque of 624 Nm; the Escalade-V version has a power of 691 hp. (885 Nm). Both versions are equipped with a non-alternative ten-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel has disappeared from the range.
It is known that mass production of the updated Cadillac Escalade SUVs will begin towards the end of this year. The company will announce the prices of the new product closer to the start of sales on the American market.
