MOSCOW, July 19 Social network X stopped using CrowdStrike cybersecurity software on Friday after its update caused a large-scale failure, said the owner of the social network, Elon Musk.
«We just removed CrowdStrike from all our systems… but unfortunately, many of our suppliers and logistics companies use them,» Musk wrote on his social network X.
On Friday morning, a global outage began Windows-based technology, which affected telecom operators, banks and airlines around the world. The American company CrowdStrike confirmed that a global failure in Windows occurred due to its update for the Falcon Sensor cybersecurity application.
CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said their customer data remains fully protected, but recovery from the outage may take «some time.»
