MOSCOW, July 21 Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the opera singer competition of People's Artist of the USSR Elena Obraztsova (1939 — 2015) enjoys the attention of gifted artists, and also clarified that the current creative review is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the competition and the 85th anniversary of the birth of its creator, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
«Dear friends! I welcome you to the XV International Competition of Young Opera Singers Elena Obraztsova. Your current creative review is special, it is dedicated to two anniversaries at once — the 25th anniversary of the competition and the 85th anniversary of its creator, People's Artist of the USSR Elena Vasilyevna Obraztsova “Largely thanks to her energy and dedication, talent and inspiration, this beautiful musical project took place and over the past years has enjoyed the sincere attention of gifted artists from Russia and foreign countries,” the message says.
Putin is confident that the competition “will delight guests with a rich and eventful program, will give young performers an excellent opportunity to perform on the famous stage of the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg and, of course, will serve to popularize the unique creative heritage of the great Elena Obraztsova.”
«I wish you success and all the best,» the telegram adds.
