The SUV, which is a variation of the long-sold Torres, has collected an impressive number of orders in just over a week. And this despite the fact that there are no characteristics or prices yet.
In the form of a prototype with the factory index J120, this crossover from the Korean company KG Mobility (KGM, former SsangYong) was spotted in February. And at the beginning of last week, the manufacturer revealed the appearance of the production model and announced its name: the name Actyon was revived for the five-door. KGM itself considers its new product to be a coupe-like SUV, but such an Actyon can hardly be called a “coupe” with a big stretch. Be that as it may, a week ago the SUV got its own website, where you can leave a preliminary application, although the characteristics and prices will be known only in August. So now KGM has shown the interior of the crossover. At the same time, the manufacturer boasted of the success of the model: the KGM Actyon has already collected more than 35,000 orders, and about 16,000 applications were left in the first day from the launch of the site.

Let us recall that the new SUV is based on the KGM Torres, which has been sold since 2022. At the same time, Actyon has its own exterior design. The front is adorned not only with curved LED running lights, but also with a luminous panel consisting of many «strokes». The crossover also received other bumpers, a trunk door and taillights. And of course, its rear pillars are designed differently.

Inside, the KGM Actyon generally repeated the current Torres and its electric version with the EVX prefix . By the way, the donor “traditional” SUV acquired an interior with a scoreboard and a “floating” console located between the seats quite recently — before it had separate screens and a massive tunnel. Although the Actyon still has its own features: the SUV got a new steering wheel with the letters KGM instead of the SsangYong emblem, in addition, more expensive materials were used in the finishing. You will be offered a choice of light or dark interior.

There is a consensus on technology among Korean specialists no media yet. Some believe that, like the regular Torres, the new KGM Actyon will be available with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four producing 170 hp. Others write that the coupe received a hybrid installation (such a version is not provided for Torres). All details will be revealed in August.
