Lamborghini Temerario: New Images

The Italian company is preparing to premiere its new sports car, which will replace the Huracan model. Thanks to fresh spy photos, we have the opportunity to examine new details of its appearance.

The coupe will be named Temerario, traditionally for all Lamborghini models it is borrowed from bullfighting and translated from Italian means «daring», «brave». In the model range, the new product should replace the younger sports car Huracan, which debuted in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show. Thus, this year the latter turned 10 years old, and during this time it has received many modifications, the latest of which with the STJ index and a naturally aspirated V10 appeared in April of this year.

The successor to the Huracan model, judging by spy photos, will receive almost the same body proportions, but the design will be significantly different. The Temerario will feature very narrow horizontal headlights, which will be accompanied by original hexagonal running lights built into the front bumper. The shape of the sides of the new model is somewhat reminiscent of its «grandfather» — the Gallardo sports car, which became the ancestor of the line of the most compact and «budget» models of the brand. The rear part looks completely original, here the main attention is drawn to the impressive size of the hexagonal exhaust pipe, on the sides of which are hexagonal lights (unlike our previous assumption, in fact there were only two of them).

Very significant changes are expected in the technical part. First of all, the sports car will become a hybrid: the power plant will be based on a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, developing 789 hp. Together with three electric motors, the total output will be about 888 hp. For comparison, the aforementioned Huracan STJ with a 12-cylinder naturally aspirated engine produces only 640 hp.
