PERM, July 26 Honored Artist of Russia, actor of the Perm Academic «Theater-Theater» Valentin Belousov has passed away, the press service of the cultural institution reports.

“After a long illness, Honored Artist of Russia Valentin Nikolaevich Belousov passed away at the age of 78. The actor served the Perm theater for 40 years. The characters played by Valentin Belousov had different appearances, nationalities and destinies — only the acting talent with which they were created was constant,” the statement says.
The actor, despite his advanced age and illness, performed on stage until the last days of his life: at the end of June, viewers could see him in the play «Anna Karenina».
An open farewell to the artist will take place on the big stage of the Theater-Theater on the morning of July 29. At 13.00 (11.00 Moscow time) a funeral service will take place in the Cathedral of Peter and Paul on Sovetskaya Street in Perm.

“The departure of Valentin Nikolaevich Belousov is the departure of a worthy representative of an entire era of great dramatic artists who shaped the culture of the Perm region,” the theater added.
Belousov graduated from the Kuibyshev Music College, The Perm theater came to Russia in 1980, and its track record includes more than 40 roles. He also starred in the films “Hands Up!”, “Bread is a Noun”, “The Life of Alexander Nevsky”, “Painful Hold”. In 1996, for his services in the field of art, he was awarded the honorary title «Honored Artist of Russia».
