NIZHNY NOVGOROD, July 26 The Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has sent recommendations to refuse to hold a concert of rapper Kishlak (Maksim Fisenko) in Nizhny Novgorod «taking into account public opinion,» the department reported.
Earlier, the local Telegram channel Ni Mash, citing the concert organizers, reported that the rapper's concert at the Nizhny Novgorod club Premio was under threat of cancellation, allegedly due to objections from the regional Ministry of Culture. It is claimed that the artist's tour, according to preliminary data, is being disrupted due to accusations of drug and LGBT propaganda*.
«The ministry does not have the authority to cancel or ban entertainment events that are not organized by the ministry or cultural institutions subordinate to it. Premio is not an organization subordinate to the ministry. However, the ministry has sent recommendations to Premio, taking into account public opinion, to cancel the event,» the ministry's press service told the agency.
At the moment, it was not possible to contact the club's management to find out about their decision regarding the concert. Meanwhile, tickets for Kishlak's concert in Nizhny Novgorod on the evening of July 28 are on sale on Yandex Afisha.
Earlier on July 4, unknown individuals disrupted a concert by rapper Kishlak in a bar in the city of Omsk, breaking into his dressing room and attacking him with pepper spray. The police have launched an investigation.
