BLAGOVESHCHENSK, July 30 A resident of the Amur Region has been taken into custody on charges of treason for providing financial assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces, the UFSB for the Amur Region reports.
«The UFSB of Russia for The Amur Region has suppressed the illegal activity of a resident of the Amur Region who was involved in committing high treason in the form of providing financial assistance to the armed forces of Ukraine in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation. The Investigative Department of the UFSB of Russia for the Amur Region has opened a criminal case against the individual under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («high treason»),» the report says.
The accused has been remanded in custody, and an investigation is underway.
