The G-Drive Racing team, led by world endurance racing champion Roman Rusinov, tested the concept of the newest Russian supercar Rossa GT on the Igora Drive circuit. The premiere of the prototype directly on the race track was timed to coincide with the large-scale Garage Fest speed and music festival, which brings together motorsport enthusiasts. In the process of creating Rossa, Rusinov relied on the knowledge he gained over his long career as a pilot and sports team manager, and the project itself should become a significant stage in the development of Russian motorsport.
The aerodynamics of Rossa are calculated using computer modeling software, and the GT class (from the Italian designation Gran Turismo for the category of high-speed road and sports cars) is chosen as the base platform. GT competitions are very popular all over the world because the participants' cars are similar to cars for public use and their cabin can accommodate two people. Roman Rusinov
During the current tests, the team studied the capabilities of the new car, in particular, the engine operation on high-tech products of the G-Drive and G-Energy brands. G-Drive fuel from the Gazpromneft network of filling stations is chosen by participants in the largest competitions in the country. G-Energy motor oils provide reliable protection for the car's power plant due to innovative formulas, the development of which uses the experience of off-road racing, circuit racing and other disciplines characterized by increased loads on the engine. Working with sports equipment, G-Energy specialists have created a unique method of predictive diagnostics that allows you to determine the slightest malfunction in the engine based on the results of analyzing samples of the working oil. Today, these technologies are successfully used in such innovative projects as Rossa, and at the same time benefit all motorists.
The Rossa project is headed by Roman Rusinov, a Russian racing driver and sports director of the G-Drive Racing team. His vast motorsport experience greatly helps in developing a racing car of this class, since Roman is a champion of the Russian and international endurance racing series, a winner and prize-winner of international off-road races in the T3 all-terrain vehicle category. The Rossa GT concept car, created by a group of designers and engineers under the guidance of the famous racing driver, combines modern trends in sports cars and the experience of a winner of world endurance races. The debut of the latest Russian development should take place on the race track, after which the road version of the car will be launched into production. The concept car was first presented to the public in 2023. According to the creators, Rossa will be homologated to GT2/GT3 supercar standards, and its specific power will allow the car to accelerate to 380 kilometers per hour.
