MOSCOW, August 4 Russia has large-scale tasks in developing its railway infrastructure, said Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing confidence that they will be able to be solved.
In congratulating workers and veterans of railway transport on their professional holiday, Putin said that Russia needs to rapidly expand its railway infrastructure using advanced developments.
«Therefore, our agenda includes the construction of high-speed highways in conjunction with the central transport hub, the creation of international logistics corridors, the development of the Azov-Black Sea transport route, the organization of the so-called seamless rail link from the Baltic and the Barents Sea to the coast of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. The tasks are truly large-scale. And I am sure that thanks to your knowledge, experience, and focus on results in the interests of the country, we will definitely solve them,» Putin addressed representatives of the railway industry.
