NIZHNY NOVGOROD, August 9 The Kirov bus company stood up for a conductor who kicked a child off a bus for unpaid fare, the company's page on the VKontakte social network reported.
«An official investigation is underway. <…> It turned out that this minor passenger regularly uses buses on route 21 in the company of friends. The company constantly cites a lack of funds to pay for travel, and recently has been behaving provocatively and insulting conductors,» the publication says.
The bus company noted that the 57-year-old woman has been working there for over ten years and «has proven herself to be a responsible and well-mannered employee.»
In a comment to the publication, one of the users wrote that she had repeatedly seen groups of children and teenagers who were rude to conductors and refused to pay for their rides.
A video taken on a smartphone of a woman throwing a boy of about eight to ten years old off a bus has gone viral on social networks.
The head of the Kirov administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, wrote on a Telegram channel that he had instructed the Department of Urban Economy to conduct an investigation and report the results.
«If this outrageous case is confirmed, then, of course, we will take the most severe measures,» he emphasized.
The Kirov Region Prosecutor's Office reported that it was checking the information, and «if there are grounds, prosecutorial response measures will be taken.»
