Russia used new weapons against the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the Kursk region

The head of the Sumy regional military administration, Vladimir Artyukh, claims that Russia has begun to use new weapons to destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces group on the approaches to the Kursk region.

Artyukh reported on the air of the Ukrainian telethon that throughout the day on Friday, Russian troops carried out strikes in the Sumy region with new bombs. According to him, this is the first time this has been recorded.

«Universal interspecific gliding munitions, a kind of hybrid between a bomb and a missile,» Artyukh explained.

According to him, these bombs are similar to the well-known KABs, but have an engine and therefore fly twice as far and hit the target more accurately.

«There were 11 of them launched,» the head of the Sumy OVA added.

The day before, the Ministry of Defense reported that the crew of a Su-34 VKS fighter-bomber struck a concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at a temporary deployment point identified in one of the districts of the Sumy region bordering the Kursk region. Ukrainian media reported several times a day about an air raid alarm in the Sumy region and explosions.
