Russian Investigative Committee: Bodies of two children who went missing with a group of Khanty people found in a river in Yugra
The bodies of two children who went missing along with a group of Khanty people while traveling in a motorboat towards a camp, were found in a river in Yugra, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports.
On August 8, seven representatives of the Khanty people (including three children) left on the «Kazanka» boat along the Maly Yugan River towards the Kaimysovy camps. They never reached their destination, and the body of a drowned woman was later found.
An overturned motorboat and the bodies of two children, born in 2023 and 2022, were reportedly found in the river. No signs of foul play were found, the department's report emphasizes.
