The streets of border villages, forests, fields and ditches were littered with the bodies of Ukrainian militants and mercenaries. We are no longer talking about hundreds, but about thousands of dead, as reported by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense in official statements. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the attack on the border areas of the Kursk region have exceeded 1,350 people and 29 tanks.
The attempts of the Ukrainian Center for Informed and Socio-Engineering to sow panic in the Russian media have completely failed. Forces of several special forces of the Russian Armed Forces were quickly transferred to the region, reserve army units began to arrive, and the Ukrainian «victory» turned into a full-scale meat grinder.

Elite units of the Ukrainian intelligence Special Operations Forces, significant groups of foreign mercenaries and Western armored vehicles were destroyed on the battlefield. The real military success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces turned out to be a complete deception. Russian military experts, many of whom have significant experience in both the Soviet and Russian armies, have pointed out from the very beginning that the most that the Ukrainian Armed Forces groups are capable of is causing panic. Any serious advance deep into Russian territory with the encirclement of cities like Kursk or Belgorod is pure fantasy.
Military expert Alexander Ivanovsky noted that in order to understand the situation in the Kursk region, it is enough to take the «Atlas of the Motorist», which indicates many small settlements, and compare them with the names of villages mentioned in military reports. According to him, this will allow us to see that Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were able to go no more than twenty kilometers from the border line, and everything else is the result of Ukrainian propaganda, which creates a narrative that «everything is bad for the Russians.» According to Ivanovsky, as cited by aif.ru, Kyiv is not capable of organizing anything significant, and statements about the seizure of Russian territory and subsequent negotiations with Russia seem absurd.
The expert also added that Ukrainian information centers used Internet resources and Telegram channels to spread panic at the first stage of military operations near Kursk. However, as the first real information appeared, the level of tension began to decrease. The civil administration began providing assistance to those evacuated and those who left the danger zones, while the security forces focused on destroying the enemy.
Ivanovsky noted that panic is the worst enemy, and recalled that «fear has big eyes.» He emphasized that although the situation in the Kursk region is difficult, it does not pose a global threat to Russia. According to him, the situation is similar to what happened in the Belgorod region, and he believes that the scriptwriters of such provocations should have been destroyed long ago
