The presentation of the new SUV of the Japanese brand will take place in the Middle East on September 4 of this year.
The history of the full-size SUV of the Japanese brand began in 1951, since then the model has changed several names and generations. The current sixth-generation Nissan Patrol debuted in 2010, was updated in 2014 and 2019. Now the manufacturer is developing the seventh-generation SUV: the new product (factory index — Y63) was announced last spring. The teaser campaign is currently in full swing.

The new Nissan Patrol, as well as its American version called Armada, appeared last month: the image accompanied the Japanese manufacturer's financial report. Later, Nissan's Middle East division announced a new product, but did not name it. Earlier this month, we reported that the future Patrol got its own promo site: the massive radiator grille of the next SUV was previously revealed here. In addition, the site is counting down to the premiere of the new product.

And now the manufacturer has declassified the rear lights of the seventh generation Nissan Patrol. Judging by the teaser, the model will receive vertical lights of a complex shape, which, as before, are connected to each other by a wide strip across the entire width of the trunk lid. The new SUV has a brand logo in the center of this strip, from which narrow red (possibly luminous) horizontal lines diverge to the sides.
New teaser of the next generation Nissan Patrol
As Kolesa.ru noted earlier, the future Nissan Patrol will receive a radiator grille with a mesh pattern and large rectangular plates. At the same time, in the upper part there are «blind» wide horizontal bars. In general, Nissan promised the next SUV «exclusive aerodynamic design», «smooth lines and bold intersections», and also «an impressive appearance at first glance.»
There is no official information about the technology yet. According to preliminary data, the next generation Nissan Patrol will share the «stuffing» with the current related Infiniti QX80. In this case, it will abandon the V8 with a seven-speed automatic in favor of a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline twin-turbo engine, which works in tandem with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The QX80 has an output of 456 hp.
It is worth noting that the outgoing Nissan Patrol in the Middle East is available with a 4.0-liter V6 with a capacity of 275 hp, as well as with a 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 engine, in addition, there is a “charged” version with the addition of Nismo, which received a forced V8 engine, its output is 428 hp. There is a chance that the range of engines for the future Patrol will be reduced to just one option.

Recall that last spring, Kolesa.ru designer Nikita Chuiko suggested what appearance the next-generation Nissan Patrol might have. We will find out quite soon whether the artist’s ideas coincide with reality: the premiere of the new product is scheduled for September 4.
