MOSCOW, August 15 Famous saxophonists from Russia, France, Belgium, and Japan will gather from August 15 to 23 at the IV International Saxophonist Camp «BAIKAL SAX» on the shores of the legendary lake.
< br />«This is the only saxophonist camp in all of Russia; there are no similar projects in our country yet. It attracts the attention of musicians of various levels, creates comfortable conditions for the development and improvement of professional skills, and the identification of new stars,» said the event organizer, vice president and co-founder of the Eurasian Saxophonists Association, artistic director and soloist of Imperialis Orchesrta Taras Gusarov.
He noted that legendary teachers would come to the camp this year. Nikita Zimin (Moscow) – President of the Eurasian Saxophone Association, teacher at the Moscow Chopin College of Music. Nicolas Arsenijevic (France) – Professor at the Paris Conservatory. Yo Matsushita (Japan) – participant of the World Saxophone Congress; music teacher at Senzoku Gakuen College. Evgeny Smirnov (Sverdlovsk Region) – conductor of the Baikal Sax camp, two-time winner of the Sverdlovsk Region Governor's Prize «Best Teacher of the Year». Giorgi Dzhishkariani (Georgia/Russia) – one of the brightest representatives of the newest Russian academic school of saxophone, student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. Dmitry Pinchuk (Moscow) – winner of the most prestigious saxophone competition, which is held once every 4 years in the homeland of Adolphe Sax in Belgium.
The creators of the «Baikal Sax» project have developed an original educational program, including a series of master classes, lectures, seminars, creative musical and stage laboratories. Various active entertainments are also provided.
«Baikal Sax» participants gain knowledge, exchange experiences, spend time in a picturesque place and soak up the energy of the lake,» Taras Gusarov added.
According to him, Traditionally, a large festive concert is held at the end of the shift. This year it will be held on August 22 at 19:00 on the territory of the camp in the village of Bolshoe Goloustnoe.
The IV International Saxophonist Camp «Baikal Sax» was organized by Irkutsk saxophonist Artem Syrovatsky and the production center «ART-DA», as well as with the support of the Eurasian Association of Saxophonists.
