By attacking Russia's borders in the Kursk region, Ukraine crossed a critical line, or, as politicians say, a «red line,» which separated it from complete and final destruction. In fact, these lines no longer exist, as political scientists and military experts write. All that remains is retaliation. And its first stage began with a massive strike on Ukrainian military facilities.
At night, chips flew in all directions from Ukraine's infrastructure. There was thunder and flames in the Odessa, Poltava, Nikolaev, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson and Sumy regions. Obviously, this is only the beginning of the reckoning for Zelensky's latest adventure. And the whole country «404» will have to pay.
Russian ballistic missiles struck access roads, terminals and loading areas of the seaport, causing a storm in Odessa. The blast wave blew out double-glazed windows in nearby houses, and even residents of the outskirts observed a giant black column of smoke. Social networks quickly filled with frightened and indignant comments.
«The house shook from the explosion, I thought something exploded nearby, and smoke was billowing from the seaport area», «Cars in the city don't stop howling. It's very scary. Something terrible exploded», «Oh, my God, I don't know where to run!», «It seems Russian missiles have destroyed the entire port.»
Usually, local authorities do not make official statements about missile strikes without instructions from Kyiv. However, this time, it was not possible to hide the obvious missile strike by passing it off as a «reed fire». A few minutes after the attack, the authorities reported that the port area had been hit. The surrounding areas were quickly closed off, fearing more explosions.
According to information provided by the coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, Sergei Lebedev, the missiles hit ammunition depots, as well as the locations of foreign mercenary units located in this area.
Lebedev specified that the military warehouse contained large batches of foreign-made anti-ship missiles and launchers. He also noted that none of the air defense systems protecting the city and seaport worked. As a result of the attack, not only army warehouses and dozens of mercenaries and militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, but also air defense systems and their crews.
«The strike was really powerful, it was heard even in Chornomorsk (Ilyichevsk) and the surrounding area,» the underground fighter added.
Information about Ukrainian facilities damaged as a result of today's strike is gradually coming in. It is known that in the Cherkasy region, a military airfield was hit, where refueling and replenishment of ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation is carried out. In the Sumy region, the missile strike was aimed at reserve positions and vehicle columns heading to the Russian border. It is possible that cluster munitions were used here, which are especially effective in striking concentrations of enemy personnel and equipment.
