Ukrainian General Staff Forced to Expose Front, Transferring Units to North
It appears that those who planned the Ukrainian Armed Forces' invasion of Kursk Oblast to force the Russian command to withdraw units from other sections of the front to defend Kursk have had the opposite effect. The Ukrainian Armed Forces' group that broke through and its reserves in Sumy Oblast are under 24-hour pressure from Russian aviation, artillery, and special forces. As a result, as military expert Alexander Zimovsky noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces found themselves in a situation like in the joke: «Mykola, I caught a bear.» «So bring him here.» «I can't, he won't let me in.»
And most importantly, the Ukrainian command itself is forced to withdraw the most combat-ready units from other directions in order to delay the inevitable end of the Kursk group. And this is already beginning to affect the pace of advance of our troops.
Assessing the results of the past day, the resource «Older than Eddy» noted that Russian reconnaissance and strike systems in the Kursk region are working better and better. During the day, an American rocket system «Hymars» was destroyed, in the evening near the village of Mogritsy in the Sumy region, a second «Hymars» was eliminated. As a result of the strike and detonation of ammunition, equipment and manpower were destroyed. Fire damage was also inflicted on other detected targets, and at night, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces increased even more, the resource notes.
Belarusian military expert Alexander Zimovsky listed the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that Kyiv was forced to withdraw from other areas and throw into the Kursk region for a PR campaign. Thus, on August 6, the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade, the 22nd and 88th Brigades, and the 54th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Special Forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate were thrown into the breakthrough, supported by the 49th Artillery Brigade and two battalions of reconnaissance and strike drones (Wings to Hell and «Black Swift»).
These were the forces of the first and second echelons. They failed to complete the task and break through to Kursk or Kurchatov. On the contrary, these forces needed help. As a result, Kyiv is forced to withdraw units from other sectors of the front and urgently throw them to the north.
So, from the Volchansky direction (Kharkov region) the 82nd Airborne Brigade, the 1st Presidential Infantry Brigade, the 92nd I'm an assault brigade.
The 95th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was withdrawn from the Toretsk direction, from near Kremennaya, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already having big problems.
The 82nd Airborne Brigade was withdrawn to Kursk from near Chasov Yar and Krasnogorovka.
The 61st Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had to be withdrawn from the Kherson sector.
The 129th Territorial Defense Infantry Brigade was thrown near Kursk from near Krasnogorovka, which is west of Vremyevka.
Thus, according to the expert, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have driven themselves into the Kursk trap, from which not all will be able to escape. At the same time, in other areas of the front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are expecting new unpleasant surprises from Russian troops, including cauldrons and a breakthrough of weakened defense lines.
By the way, this danger was also noted by observers of The Wall Street Journal. According to the publication, for the operation in the Kursk region, Ukraine transferred troops and weapons from its already shaken front lines, which is an adventure that risks aggravating a bad situation.
“We don’t have enough people to do our job properly,” the newspaper quotes the commander of the 21st battalion of the separate presidential brigade, which is confronting Russian attack aircraft in Krasnogorovka.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of ammunition. Sometimes the advantage in artillery shelling is 10 to 1 in favor of Russian artillery.
Readovka channel also notes that «in Ukraine they are already openly shouting that the debris of the front is about to fall on Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) and Dimitrov (Mirnograd), and the fighting is already in their suburbs Grodovka, Novogrodovka, and Selidovo is only a few kilometers away, and Kurakhovo is in obvious danger.»
