The brother of the frame SUV, the Rexton Sports pickup, has also been improved, and not only the interior of the truck has been changed.
The long-suffering company SsangYong begins a new life. First of all, now it is not SsangYong at all: since March of this year, the Korean automaker has been named KG Mobility, because the local conglomerate KG Group has become the main shareholder. The plans include a new lineup, which, of course, will consist mainly of electric trains, and not only SUVs, but also “serious” SUVs are promised. However, the «green» all-terrain vehicles still have to wait, so for now the company decided to refresh its current frames — the passenger Rexton and its sister pickup Rexton Sports. In general, it is expected that the official premiere of the updated models will take place only tomorrow, May 3, but brochures have already appeared on the Korean segment of the Internet: for example, they were posted on the Naver online platform in the MotorJason community.

So, in the home market, the SsangYong Rexton SUV is now called KG Mobility Rexton New Arena. Recall that the model of the current generation has been in service since 2017, it experienced a large-scale restyling in 2020. This time, the appearance of the reform was hardly touched upon, except that the SUV acquired wheels of a new design, and the global emblem of the ex-SsangYong is now used in the homeland (a separate logo for KG Mobility cars, apparently, has not yet been invented).

But the interior of Rexton has been redesigned. So, the all-terrain vehicle got a new front panel, with air deflectors hidden in a single wide die. They also replaced the multimedia system — the tablet now rises above the panel, and is not built into it. Finally, SUVs have sent a new climate control unit — it has become touch-sensitive.
There was no information about whether the reforms affected technology at the time of publication of the news. The pre-reform Rexton in Korea is presented with a non-alternative 2.2 turbodiesel with a capacity of 202 hp, which is combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission. What is known about the related pickup truck is that it has a new stretched top version with its own design: this option was called the KG Mobility Rexton Sports Khan Culmen (previously the «luxury» version had no «surname», it was simply called Khan). This modification of the headlights, like a passenger SUV, has the original grille and front bumper (with new horizontal foglights). Inside, Khan Culmen replicated the Rexton New Arena, but the steering wheel is different (and it's also new). Most likely, the interior of the “ordinary” short truck was designed in the same way, while the appearance of the “simple” versions might not have been touched.

There is also no data on the pickup technique yet. The old Rexton Sports Khan is available at home with the same 2.2 turbodiesel, but instead of 8AKP there is a six-speed «automatic», and the standard Rexton Sports also has a six-speed «mechanics» in addition.
