A A group of sorority sisters filed a lawsuit against a national sorority organization after a trans woman was allowed to move into their sorority home.
Seven members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at the University of Wyoming have asked the judge to declare 21-year-old Artemis Langford's membership invalid and award unspecified damages, according to a lawsuit received by Cowboy StateDaily.
One member asked the sorority's leadership to ensure that the home remained a «women-only» safe space, with several members expressing concern about shared bathrooms that lack locks.

The lawsuit states: «A grown man does not become a woman just because he tells others that he has a female 'gender identity' and behaves in a way that he considers stereotypically feminine.»
Ms. Langford, who is 6ft 2in, does not currently live in the home, but residents say he has spent a «significant» amount of time there and has been allowed to move in since September.
The women who filed the lawsuit alleged that Ms. Langford was visibly aroused in their company, and some sorority members told Megyn Kelly's podcast that residents felt «uncomfortable» and «constantly afraid» in the house when she was present.
One of the sorority members, Hannah, told Kelly: «Men are never allowed on the second floor of our house, except to go in and out.»
«So it's only female space and not like living in a hostel. We only have a couple of shared bathrooms, but it should be a safe place where we can rest at night.”
Another member, Jaylin, added: “All bathrooms are shared, there are no separate changing rooms or locks. He is very open and vulnerable.»

The lawsuit alleges that the fraternity council «betrayed the core purpose and mission of Kappa Kappa Gamma by merging a woman's experience with a man's experience of engaging in behaviors commonly associated with women.»
The society held a vote on whether to accept Ms. Langford, but several members said the president and chapter chairman dismissed their concerns.
Opponents of Ms. Langford's admission were allegedly tipped off by another sorority member. : «Regardless of your political views, our Kappa values are acceptance and kindness, so if you disagree with something, it's not in line with Kappa's values.»
The sorority leadership reportedly stated that if they had any problems with Ms. Langford, they could «drop out».
One sorority member told The National Review that she could drop out of school next semester as a result.
The women told the podcast that they understand that trans women should be protected and have their own safe space, but claim that trans women like Ms Langford move into their home is not the answer .
