The compact SUV has gained a bolder appearance, but the new interior is only for the top version. In the homeland of the brand, all the equipment is the same.
The updated Chery cross was officially presented back in April, but that was an option for Mexico. And only now such a «five-door» debuted in China, and the local model turned out to have its own characteristics. Recall that in foreign markets the compact is called Tiggo 2 Pro, at home it was previously known as Tiggo 3x Plus, but the fresh “five-door” lost its prefix. Chery Tiggo 3x received new running lights: they are still on top, but at the same time merged with the same new radiator grille. And DRLs now consist of diode sections arranged in a checkerboard pattern. The blocks of the main headlights were not changed, but the taillights were made in the form of a single die. Others also became the rear bumper and tailgate. The dimensions are the same: length — 4200 mm, width — 1760 mm, height — 1570 mm, wheelbase — 2555 mm.

In China, the SUV is offered with two different interiors. In the “simple” versions, the interior as a whole has not changed, except that it can be gray-blue, and the box selector has also been changed. But the top Tiggo 3x has a new interior (like the export restyled Tiggo 2 Pro), there are other front panels, door cards, a central tunnel and a climate control unit; the screen of the multimedia system rises 10.25 inches above the panel (the configurations have a simpler 9-inch display), in addition, it is stuck to the tidy; finally, the air deflectors are hidden in one strip. “In the base” there are 16-inch wheels, the same LED DRLs, a rear-view camera and cruise control. The most expensive version still has LED headlights, a sunroof and heated front seats. It is curious that virtual devices do not appear in the list of equipment, although there are branded photos with them.

The technique switched from its predecessor: in the homeland, the SUV is available with an uncontested four-cylinder “aspirated” 1.5 with a capacity of 116 hp. (143 Nm), which is paired with a five-speed «mechanics» or a variator. In Mexico, the updated Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is equipped with a 1.0 turbo engine (101 hp, 149 Nm) and CVT. The drive is in any case only front.

Chery Tiggo 3x with a new look and almost old interior in China costs from $ 8,500, a SUV with a redesigned interior was estimated at $ 10,600.
Later, the restyled cross will get to to other countries, and in some places it may appear under the Omoda subsidiary brand: the five-door with the name Omoda 3 was previously snapped off by the Chinese media (but the usual Chery emblem was on the front).
