The Deputy First Minister of Scotland defended her contention that there was «no evidence that predatory and violent men» could use the SNP's gender identity reforms after being a trans butcher raped an elementary school girl.

Shauna Robison, who led the Gender Recognition Reform (GRR) bill through Holyrood while serving in Nicola. Sturgeon's government was challenged by her claim that men don't have to «pretend to be someone else in order to act predatory and offensive.»

The High Court in Edinburgh heard how the victim of transgender butcher Andrew Miller was unable to get home by bus and so started walking when a «woman in a car» approached her. who offered to give her a ride.

She said she accepted the offer and got into the Jaguar car because she was cold and considered the «lady» to be harmless. Miller then took her to his home and subjected her to a series of sexual assaults over the next 27 hours.

Ms. Robison admitted that Miller was a «predator.» but argued that opposing identity reforms would be akin to discriminating against all transgender people because of the person's behavior.

The former First Minister was named Celebrity Ally of the Year at the Rainbow Honors in London after her government pushed for a Gender Recognition Reform (GRR) bill.

Alister Jack, Secretary of Scotland, blocked the bill after it was passed by the MSP using an order submitted under section 35 of the Scotland Act on the grounds that it undermines the general British protection of women.

There was also a huge public reaction to the reforms after trans predator Isla Bryson was initially sent to a women's prison after being found guilty of two rapes. But Humza Yusuf has initiated legal action to try to override the UK government's veto.

Asked if she supported her claim that there is no evidence male predators would use self-identification, Ms Robison said: “The vast majority of transgender people just want to live their lives. Of course, we're talking about people here who have committed very serious crimes.»

She added: «Anyone who has committed a crime is a delinquent and should be treated as such, but we shouldn't — because we wouldn't do that with any other community to take these offender cases and apply it in some way, which is a problem for the rest of the trans community.”

Identification as a woman

Disputing that Miller identified himself as a woman when he lured the girl into his car, Ms Robison said: «He is clearly a predator who has committed a crime and should be treated accordingly.»

Accepting her award Wednesday night, Ms Sturgeon said: «I feel like I said it in Scotland before I was blue — let's see if it ends up being effective — but I will never stop saying it.

"My rights as a woman are in no way, in any way, diminished by the empowerment of trans men and women"

She concluded: "As long as there is breath in my body, and I hope it will be for a while longer, I will always be an ally, a strong unwavering, unequivocal ally. "

But Rachel Hamilton, Scottish spokeswoman for Tory shadow equality, said the Miller case was «a vile example of how predatory men can and will abuse the system to prey on the vulnerable.» women and girls.”
