Jade Jagger was fined by a Spanish court after she was found guilty of resisting arrest and injuring herself after the Ibiza riots .

The daughter of Sir Mick Jagger and his first wife Bianca was detained for two days at the police station as a result of an argument outside a restaurant on Wednesday.

She was detained along with her boyfriend Anthony Hinkson, who was sentenced to four months in prison for assault at a trial held in Ibiza on Friday.

The Barbadian businessman is not expected to serve any prison sentence as sentences of less than two years are usually automatically suspended in Spain for first-time offenders.

Ms Jagger's fine is estimated at around £1,215 and was issued after a plea bargain.

Police Compensation

A court official stated: “The number one court in Ibiza has held an expedited trial following a plea deal against AW and JJ, who were arrested on Wednesday in Ibiza.

“The judge recognized A.V. guilty of the crime of atentado contra la autoridad (assault) and sentenced him to four months' imprisonment.

«JJ was penalized by the same referee for severe resistance and minor injury.»

Ms Jagger was also ordered to pay 800 euros (£695) to a police officer injured in the riots as compensation.

A 51-year-old woman has been arrested while trying to defend Mr. Hinkson, who attacked police outside La Oliva restaurant in Ibiza City.

El Mundo, one of the largest newspapers in Spain, reported: «At that moment, Jade Jagger came out of the restaurant to protect the man, attacked the officers and attacked, scratched and insulted the female police officer.»

Union demands private prosecution

The incident could still lead to legal action against the jewelry designer after a Spanish police union announced it had instructed lawyers to file a private prosecution against the couple.

The SUP, which has more than 20,000 affiliated members, says it will seek to «bring the full force of the law» to the couple if it is proven they committed the crimes they were arrested for. .

The union said in a statement: “We are tired of seeing attacks on police go virtually unpunished and we are determined to ensure that people who attack police do not go unpunished. .

«For this reason, we announce today that we are going to initiate our own legal action in the case concerning this lady.»

«We are no longer going to give consent to attacks on the police.»
