“At that moment, the Telegraph stopped publishing something, and at that moment I thought it was better to keep it a secret.
“I don’t know if it was a coincidence . or… I just won't go into details.»
«Failure to infer any connection»
A Telegraph spokesperson stated last night: «Matt Hancock suggested that we stopped publishing The Lockdown Files because he filed a legal complaint with the Telegraph.
“We are sure that he does not intend to mislead, but it may be useful to clarify.
“It is true that his lawyers represented The Telegraph. It is also true that we have stopped publishing The Lockdown Files.
«But it would be a mistake to infer any connection between his legal statements and our decision to stop publishing.»
