New generation Cadillac CT6 sedan completely declassified

Changes in appearance can not be called revolutionary, but the interior has been thoroughly redone. As before, the model will be available with a two-liter turbo engine.

In the photo of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, the flagship “four-door” Cadillac CT6 of the second generation was lit up last fall, but only recently the brand itself has distributed full-fledged corporate images. In addition, the premiere date has been announced — May 28. Recall that the first-generation model debuted in 2015, it underwent restyling in 2018, and two years later, the sedan left its native Cadillac States: the CT6 turned into a “celestial” exclusive (for China it is produced by a joint venture of GM and SAIC concerns). The new «four-door» will probably retain this status.

There was no radical change in the image — the appearance was only corrected in accordance with the current corporate identity of Cadillac, although the body is still new. So, the sedan got separate narrow strips of running lights and vertical headlight blocks. The taillights are similarly designed. Length (5223 mm) and wheelbase (3109 mm) have not changed. The width of the «four-door» added 11 mm (now 1890 mm), the height, on the contrary, was cut — 1473 or 1480 mm, depending on the version (it was 1492 or 1498 mm).

But the interior was completely redrawn, the main feature is a single scoreboard (33 inches). In addition, the gearbox selector was removed from the central tunnel, the transmission control is now assigned to the steering column lever. The interior can be trimmed with Nappa leather, plus metal and wood inserts are provided. Well, the CT6 is also promised a Super Cruise autopilot.

The equipment, according to preliminary data, is the same. In China, the sedan is equipped with a 2.0 petrol turbo four, which produces 237 hp. and 350 Nm, the engine is paired with a ten-speed «automatic».

Meanwhile, at the same time as the second-generation Cadillac CT6, the manufacturer will introduce two more models: the sedan will be accompanied by a locally restyled Cadillac XT4 SUV and the latest cross -Cadillac GT4 hatch.
