Now two models are available in the Russian Federation — the T5 Evo crossover and the Yacht minivan. In China, the monocab debuted last year, so new clothes are not yet in sight for it. The SUV has been in service since 2021, and at home they decided that it was time to refresh it: the upgraded Forthing T5 Evo was presented today, May 26.

In general, such a cross is declared a special version with a “surname”, which can be translated from Chinese as Hurricane. At the same time, the new version has several configurations, that is, it is possible that over time the “special” SUV will replace the old T5 Evo. Be that as it may, the models gave the “face”: the crossover received a new front bumper, the radiator grille was also replaced — it is now with horizontal dies. In addition, chrome inserts appeared in front, combining separate elongated running lights with main headlight units (for expensive options, optics are diode). The rear bumper was also made different. By the way, some Chinese specialized media have decided that the T5 Evo has become similar to the Lamborghini Urus.

The Forting T5 Evo Hurricane is offered with the same 1.5 petrol turbo four (197 hp) as the original SUV. But at the same time, the motor has two versions: with a maximum torque of 285 or 300 Nm (the “just” T5 Evo has a younger version). The engine is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches, the drive is exclusively front-wheel drive. It is stated that the T5 Evo Hurricane with the new version of the turbo engine will pick up the first «hundred» in 8.8 seconds (with the same engine — in 9.5 seconds).
