Penny Mordaunt's popularity among the Tories has gained popularity since she carried the sword at the king's coronation.

The latest ConservativeHome poll of Conservative members in May showed that Ms. Mordaunt has risen to second place among the most popular ministers in Rishi Sunak's cabinet, up from fourth place last month.
Her net satisfaction rating now stands at 62.4 compared to 49.5 last month. April, according to a monthly survey of 3,300 party members.
