    Two of Scotland's top rock bands, Primal Scream and Franz Ferdinand, open this daytime ticket festival. Saturday hits the beat with Fred Again… and Róisín Murphy; Sunday is an eclectic with Boygenius, Loyle Karner and Ray.

    A British debut to be cherished, written and directed by 30-year-old Charlotte Regan, in which a plucky 12-year-old girl comes to terms with her sweet, albeit hopelessly absent, father. “Triangle of Sorrow” actor Harris Dickinson in the title role.

    Opera | Céphale et Procris
    The adventurous little festival Grimeborn is known for looking for good abandoned works. This summer they will bring a production of an opera by the French Baroque composer Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, better known for her chamber music. The energetic Marcio da Silva both directs and conducts here with his OrQuesta Ensemble.
