GK “Modern transport technologies”, the largest distributor of commercial vehicles, in partnership with SYNERGETIC, held the “Eco-NN” campaign in Nizhny Novgorod. As part of the project, the electric Gazelle e-NN traveled to key city locations, where everyone could hand over plastic bottles for recycling and contribute to environmental protection. The total weight of the collected plastic was over 2 tons.
For three weeks, special spaces were opened in different districts of Nizhny Novgorod, where residents could hand over plastic for recycling in a convenient place and receive SYNERGETIC brand detergents as a gift. In total, the townspeople collected several tens of thousands of plastic bottles, the total weight of which was over 2 tons. Gazelle e-NN stops also included offices of socially responsible organizations that joined the project. All collection points had curators ready to answer questions about waste sorting and recycling, as well as talk about alternatives to plastic packaging.
The main driving force behind the action was the Gazelle e-NN, a light commercial electric vehicle that does not leave a carbon footprint and is absolutely environmentally friendly in terms of traction drive emissions. High-speed charging up to 80% of the battery capacity can be achieved in just 20 minutes, a car can travel up to 150 km on a single charge. The recovery mode allows you to recharge the batteries at the time of braking, which is especially important when working in urban traffic with frequent stops.
The Eco-NN campaign is aimed not only at collecting recyclables, but also at creating an environmentally conscious lifestyle among the inhabitants of our country, because the harm that plastic can cause is a common problem, and its solution requires joint efforts. The environmental initiative of CTT Group and SYNERGETIC was already held in Nizhny Novgorod last year and caused a great response among the townspeople, becoming a good and useful tradition. In order to facilitate the process of collecting useful waste for recycling and help people form an environmentally conscious lifestyle, the electric Gazelle e-NN in a bright, memorable design will continue its journey and will also visit the largest cities of Russia: Moscow and St. Petersburg. In the capital, the plastic collection campaign will begin in July. The schedule of eco-car stops, as well as detailed instructions on what can be recycled, will be published on the project website.
