The current, seventh generation of the Hyundai Elantra compact sedan has been produced since 2020, in its native South Korea this model is called Avante, in Australia and New Zealand – i30 Sedan. Last spring, the “seventh” Elantra survived restyling, but then only “duty” versions were presented, and this week the restyled sports Elantra N and N Line debuted in South Korea. In fairness, we note that the appearance of the updated Elantra N was declassified back in April at the Shanghai Motor Show, but then there were no technical details, but now they are.

In terms of the appearance of the Elantra N, after restyling, when viewed from the front, it became a little less aggressive due to narrower headlights and a slightly simplified bumper shape. The shape of the rear bumper has not fundamentally changed, but the area of the black section has become larger. The design of the rear lights is the same. Salient features of the Elantra N include red inlays, carbon fiber mirror caps, a carbon fiber rear wing, carbon fiber tailpipe shrouds and specially designed 19″ wheels.

The drive wheels are front, between them there is an electronically controlled self-locking differential.

All specially designed for Elantra N sports electronic add-ons have been preserved, including N Green Shift (NGS) – it is activated by a red button on the steering wheel and allows you to increase boost pressure for 20 seconds to increase engine power to 290 hp. The dynamic characteristics of the updated Elantra N have not been published, the pre-styling one is gaining the first “hundred” in 5.7 seconds, the maximum speed is 250 km/h.

There are no noticeable changes in the interior of the Elantra N: sports front seats with integral headrests are installed here, the steering wheel with additional N-keys is upholstered in Alcantara, there is an honest “handbrake” on the central tunnel, and not an electric drive activation button, as in other versions, the electronic instrument panel has unique graphics. Prices for the facelifted Elantra N in South Korea start at 33,520,000 won.
Hyundai Elantra N Line 1/2 Hyundai Elantra N Line 2/2 < p> “Heated” Elantra N Line has a much less aggressive front and rear design compared to Elantra N, 18-inch wheels instead of 19-inch ones and standard brakes (more powerful ones are offered for an extra charge). The main Elantra N Line petrol turbo engine 1.6 T-GDI (204 hp, 265 Nm) is now offered only in pair with a 7-speed DCT “automatic”, the “mechanics” was removed from the range due to low demand. But in South Korea, the Elantra N Line is now available in combination with a hybrid power plant based on a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated petrol, its maximum power is 141 hp. The minimum price of the updated Elantra N Line in South Korea is 23,920,000 won (1.69 million rubles).
