On the surface, Ralph Beckett's five-year-old son will play against him on Tuesday with four opponents (Courage Mon Ami, Coltrane, Emily Dickinson and Eldar Eldarov) who finished ahead of him in the Ascot Gold Cup, but that's not the case. tell the full story. At two miles he galloped everything and, still ahead of two, it seemed to the whole world that he had not covered the limit.
Ralph Beckett's horses are in excellent shape, and Westover showed the best result of his career in Saturday's King George. This one will handle the ground and be able to follow stablemate Kinross (World Pool Lennox Stakes) into the winner's enclosure for a very good price.
Paddington (Qatar Sussex Stakes, Wednesday)
A standout for the season, so Far looked a bit stretched out for a mile and a quarter in Eclipse – even though he won it. Returning to the mile he looked very special at St. James Palace bets must mean that this is Aidan O'Brien's colt race to lose. The only thing against him is that he hasn't missed too many dances since the handicap victory in March, but even a weak effort should be enough.
Inspiral got a bit tired in the final stages of Queen Anne but will need to play her A game to give Frankie Dettori the last Sussex.

Another from the court of Ralph Beckett. She seems to be improving very quickly, and even with the fact that you get a wider win on soft ground, her last win at Salisbury at seven lengths suggests she might not be hanging around in the handicap for long. Lope de Vega, she can handle any amount of rain. Hector Crouch, a former student of Gary Moore, is also a jockey.
The Blue Rose Price (Nassau Qatari Stakes, Thursday)
It seems the French haven't been at their best in cross-Channel raids for a long time — perhaps this has something to do with the best prize money at home, the scarcity of really good horses in France over the past half-dozen years, and, in August, the fact that the French , as a rule, let their best horses and themselves relax on the beach in Deauville.
But the Blue Rose Cen, trained by Christopher Head, the fifth generation of the famous French racing family, looks excellent. . She is in a winning streak of five, won the French Oaks by four lengths and falls to the ground. Even last year's Nashwa winner will be forced to beat her.
Nostrum (Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes, Friday)
Have a good idea of the guinea but let it through with a problem before Sir Michael Stout brought it back with typical patience for the July Newmarket meeting where he was very impressive in the registered race.
Many couch coaches thought he should be fielded against Paddington in the Sussex stakes, but that is not his coach's style and he guides him through the scores. An added benefit is that Ryan Moore can ride it. I don't want him to be too soft, but he could well introduce him to Paddington later.
