The “space” van Hyundai Stargazer has an “off-road” version

The brand has only distributed a teaser of the «crossover» so far, but the novelty has already been caught in the wild, and without any camouflage. The premiere will take place in a few days.

Inexpensive compact van Hyundai Stargazer (including the title photo), the closest relative of which is the Creta SUV, well known to Russians, debuted last year. Model with hinged rear doors and appearance in the style of a full minivan Hyundai Staria sold mainly in Southeast Asia, where it competes with the Mitsubishi Xpander. The latter has had a cross-version for a long time, and now a similar “off-road” version has finally been announced for Stargazer: the new version has been assigned the prefix in the form of the letter X, the presentation will be held at the Indonesian Motor Show, which will open on August 10.

Hyundai itself has so far shared only a video teaser of the crossover. However, she still failed to play “intrigue”: Stargazer X, without a shred of disguise, was caught on the site of one of the Indonesian dealers. External differences between the X and the base compact van are the original radiator grille with massive horizontal “strokes” and more impressive bumpers, roof rails were installed, and protective pads appeared on the wheel arches.

It is still unknown how the new kit affected the dimensions of the van. The length of a standard Hyundai Stargazer is 4460 mm, width — 1780 mm, height — 1695 mm, distance between axles — 2780 mm. Passport ground clearance of a regular MPV (in Indonesian specification) is 195 mm, but this figure could have been increased for X.
