For the «world» four-door, only a gasoline aspirated engine has been announced so far, while in the production homeland the model can also be purchased with a turbo engine.
If this sedan got to Russia, then it would be positioned as the third generation Hyundai Solaris. Alas, after the beginning of the well-known events, the transformed four-door through official channels no longer shines for us, but in other countries the generation change is going according to plan. Hyundai's novelty celebrated its world premiere in March of this year in India, where the sedan, we recall, is called Verna. And now a left-hand drive global version has been revealed — already under the name Accent: such a model has so far been announced only in Saudi Arabia, but later it will appear in other countries of the Middle East, as well as in Latin America and Vietnam. By the way, the «global» Accent will be supplied from the Indian plant, which has become the main production site for the model (Solaris were made at the St. Petersburg enterprise).

Outwardly, the global four-door almost literally repeated Verna, except that the inscription Accent flaunts on the stern. Exterior design features — a two-story head optics (the upper diode strip, which acts as a DRL, consists of three sections), a lot of «sharp» lines, a sloping roof and «fanged» taillights, which, in addition, are united by a luminous plate.
In terms of dimensions, the new Accent also coincides with the Indian Verna: length — 4535 mm, width — 1765 mm, height — 1475 mm, wheelbase — 2670 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the Russian deceased Hyundai Solaris: 4405/1729/1469 mm, the distance between the axles is 2600 mm. » />
The interior is almost the same as the model for India, except that in Saudi Arabia only an 8-inch multimedia system screen is announced for the Hyundai Accent, while a 10.25-inch touchscreen is still provided for the Verna. The list of equipment for the Middle East version may also include: digital tidy, air conditioning or climate control, front seat ventilation, sunroof, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring systems.

As in India, in the Middle East, the sedan will be offered with a four-cylinder aspirated 1.5 MPI with a capacity of 115 hp, which is paired with a six-speed manual or IVT variator. But the petrol turbo four 1.5 T-GDI (160 hp) did not get the accent — at least in Saudi Arabia. It is curious that a one and a half liter diesel 1.5 (115 hp) is still “hanging” on the page of the new Hyundai Accent, but most likely they simply forgot to remove it after updating the site, because even the Indian Verna lost its “heavy” fuel engine with the change of generations (There is no diesel in the brochure dedicated to the fresh Accent).
Live sales of the new four-door Hyundai will start in Saudi Arabia in the near future. In Russia, the next Solaris/Accent will only have a parallel future.
