Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney is wanted by Spanish club Real Sociedad, who are looking to sign the Scottish international on loan this summer.

Tierney's future at the Emirates Stadium is unclear , and he appears to be behind Oleksandr Zinchenko and the new signing of Jurrien Timber in the pecking order at left-back.

Tierney did not start in any of Arsenal's pre-season matches and also competes against Jakub Kivior and Takehiro Tomiyasu for a place to the left of the back four of Mikel Arteta.< /p>

Sources in Spain said that Sociedad, who will play in the Champions League next season, now hope to capitalize on the situation by offering a 12-month loan.

Sociedad finished fourth in La Liga last season . , qualifying for a major European competition for the first time in a decade.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be willing to let Tierney go on loan, given their desire to cash in on sales until the end of the window.

Newcastle United are longtime fans of the 26-year-old, but have favored other positions this summer, with deals for midfielder Sandro Tonali, winger Harvey Barnes and right-back Tino Livramento.
