Chelsea are close to signing Tyler Adams from Leeds United in a deal worth around £20m.
Telegraph Sport understands Adams is set to undergo treatment at » Chelsea on Thursday as he prepares to move to Stamford Bridge.

Adams' harassment is linked to Chelsea's attempt to bolster their limited midfield options and is not thought to be linked to their ongoing interest in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton.
Chelsea are also pushing to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton, on Wednesday in the evening, he submitted a £48 million offer for the Belgian international.
Adams, the US international, will give Chelsea extra energy and flexibility if the deal goes through as expected.< /p>
He was relegated from the Premier League with Leeds last season but his reputation has remained strong, not least because he missed the last few months of the campaign with an injury.
The 24-year-old moved to Leeds from RB. Leipzig in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth around £20m. He captained the US team at last year's World Cup in Qatar and made a total of 36 appearances for his country.
Chelsea's need to strengthen their midfield is the result of a long list of departures from the club in recent months. Jorginho, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and N'Golo Kante have left Stamford Bridge since the start of the year.
There is also uncertainty over future midfielder Conor Gallagher, who is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and this summer West Ham United offered him £40m.
