Harry Kane wonders if it's too late to make the biggest decision of his career after Bayern Munich finally agreed a fee with Tottenham Hotspur to sign the captain England.
A breakthrough in negotiations came late Wednesday night when Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy accepted a fee of over £86m.
The key to the deal appears to be that Bayern have restructured their offer so that Spurs get a much larger amount of money up front, with fewer raises and milestone payments, so they can immediately invest in their team .
Bayern were confident all summer long that Kane wanted to join them, but the drawn-out nature of the negotiations with the three previous offers rejected by Spurs and the start of the Premier League campaign this weekend have slowly cast that into doubt. .
Earlier this week, the Telegraph Sport reported that not only was Kane leaning towards staying with the Spurs and possibly finishing out the last year of his contract, but that he absolutely wants his future was determined prior to their first league game against Brentford on Sunday.
Tuchel would be stunned if the Kane deal fell through
In theory, Bayern will feel that by reaching an agreement today they have done it, but it remains a tricky deal and won't be done quickly. Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel has made Kane his No. 1 target and remains absolutely confident the 30-year-old will sign. He would be stunned if that didn't happen.
It has been speculated from sources in Germany that the only delay in the deal now will be that Kane needs to sort out some financial details with the Spurs. The personal conditions offered to him by Bayern are considered acceptable.
Bayern will also claim that they tried to force the issue by setting a midnight deadline last Friday for their previous bid to be accepted by Levy. As expected, it was ignored, forcing Bayern to make another offer.
The accepted bid exceeds the minimum €100m demanded by Levy for Kane, and with surcharges close to £100m. It is important to note that this is also in line with his requirements regarding how payments were made.
Kane is not going to leave Tottenham after the start of the season and believes that this would be unfair to the fans, the club, his comrades on the team and also head coach Ange Postekoglou, whom he admires and with whom he already has a good relationship.

It would be a devastating blow for Bayern if Kane refuses to move now and it is unlikely that he will sign a pre-contract agreement with them in January when he can do so. and with the overseas club.

With Bayern winning 11 Bundesliga titles in a row, his chances for a silver medal in Germany are almost guaranteed, with Tuchel telling him that together they could win the Champions League.
